800 Indigenous Natives planted on Schools Tree Planting Day

Plant it Forward was an overwhelming success, with 800 trees planted by enthusiastic students from various schools on Schools Tree Day. ASQ Plant it Forward's mission was to donate hundreds of trees to our local schools for their tree-planting projects, and we planted 800 trees, leaving a lasting impact on both students and our planet.

Carisbrook Primary School at ASQ Garden & Landscape Maryborough

In Maryborough, 60 dedicated students from Carisbrook Primary School made a significant contribution by planting 200 plants along the Pyrenees Highway Verge. This tremendous effort was made possible with the help of our mates at Brock's Earthworx.

Carisbrook Primary School embraced the Plant It Forward campaign further using the day as an opportunity to educate their students about the importance of our local environment, revegetation, and caring for nature. This initiative was integrated into their in-school learning program, providing a hands-on experience that reinforced classroom learning.

Students hard at work

Year 9 students from Kalianna School teamed up with the ASQ Garden & Landscape Eaglehawk team to plant 35 donated native trees along the school’s fence line. The students did a fantastic job, showcasing their dedication and hard work.

The Goal of the Plant It Forward campaign was to donate as many trees as possible for school planting projects. ASQ matched every indigenous tube tree purchased for donation during June and July with another tree. This doubled the impact of each contribution, enabling California Gully Primary, Kalianna School, Lightning Reef Primary, Maryborough Education Centre, Castlemaine Primary, Harcourt Valley Primary, St Mary’s Primary, and Newstead Primary to participate in this transformative day. ASQ were on hand at all the schools to provide guidance and assistance, creating a valuable learning opportunity for everyone involved. We greatly appreciate all the students for their perseverance and enthusiasm despite the less-than-ideal weather conditions.

Thank you to everyone who purchased a plant, donated, participated, and helped Plant It Forward.
